I. Process of Setting Undergraduate Recruiting Scheme

1. Setting the Recruiting Scheme for All Other Undergraduates Except for Undergraduates of the 21st Century International Undergraduate Program

A. Schools or Departments report their own undergraduate recruiting scheme for the following academic year in early October.

B. ISO summarizes the recruiting scheme from Schools or Departments in mid-October.

C. ISO reports at the Joint Meeting of University Principals about the recruiting scheme in late October.

D. ISO releases the Application Guide for following academic year in December


2. The Recruiting for Undergraduates of the 21st Century International Undergraduate Program

ISO sends the Application Guide for 21st Century International Undergraduate Program to the partner high schools In December.


II. Application and Admission Process

1. Application and Admission Process for All Other Undergraduates Except for Undergraduates of the 21st Century International Undergraduate Program

A. ISO accepts application in March.

B. ISO organizes written examinations in early May.

C. ISO organizes Interview in late May.

D. ISO releases admission lists in mid-June.

E. ISO sends admission package in late June.


2. Application and Admission Process for the Undergraduates of the 21st Century International Undergraduate Program

A. ISO accepts applications in February,

B. ISO organizes interview in mid-March

C. ISO releases the admission lists in early April.

D. ISO sends admission package in late June.


III. Process of New Students’ Registration

A. New students register in end August or early September,

B. Students go to the designated place with admission notice to register.

C. Students register the residential address and submit the "Registration Form"

D. ISO issues the Introduction Letter for Visa Application


IV. Process of Enrolled students’ Registration

A. Students pay tuition fees on line and pay insurance premiums in cash

B. Students register at their own School or Department


V. Process of Tuition Refund

Students dropped out within the first two weeks after the registration date will get full refund of the tuition fees. There is no refund after the first two weeks.

A. Students complete the procedures of dropping out

B. Students shorten the validity of their Residence Permit

C. Students get refund of the tuition fees.


VI. Issues about Visa or Residence Permit

A. Students pay tuition fees on line and pay insurance premiums in cash

B. ISO issues the Introduction Letter for Visa Application

C. Students go to the Exit-Entry Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau for their Visa or Residence Permit.
