Regarding the application for 2012-2013 Canada China Scholars' Exchange Program (CCSEP), please see the following message in Chinese for our contacts at Chinese institutions. As you know, CCSEP is an official exchange program between DFAIT and Chinese Ministry of Education. It is designed to enhance Chinese scholars and professionals knowledge and understanding of Canada, its value and culture. Canada offers awards to full-time, permanent teaching or research staff, MA or PH.D. graduates as well as non-academics in China holding senior professional posts (e.g., judges, broadcasters, economists) so that upon their return home they can make a distinctive contribution to life in China and to mutual understanding between C中加anada and China. Scholarships are usually for four to 12 months and the monthly stipend is $2,200. The recipients are placed in prestigious Canadian universities as visiting scholars.
China Scholarship Council (CSC) is responsible for CCSEP promotion in China and receiving applications. The CCSEP Application Guideline and Application Form has been posted in CSC's website. Our role is to provide assistance in promotion, recommending two experts for the Selection Committee and conducting language interviews for the selected candidates.
