Utrecht University re-opened two calls for proposals to strengthen the strategic collaboration with international partner universities. Seed funding will be available for Intensive Workshops and Visiting Fellowships.

There is no set deadline for applications, they will be reviewed in order of submission. However, applications received after 1 December 2012 will not be taken in account. 
 
Intensive Workshops
Utrecht University will co-fund joint scientific workshops in the academic year 2012-2013 to strengthen the ties with its strategic international partners (UUPs) and international partners with a strong international profile in at least one UU strategic theme (‘Life Sciences’, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Institutions’, ‘Youth and Identity’) by bringing top scholars together. An intensive workshop is an expert meeting of scientific leaders to strengthen existing or initiate new collaborations between international partners (preferably at least one Utrecht University Partner). The main purpose of the workshop should be to explore and set up new (external funded) cooperation projects in research (e.g. EC projects) and/or education (e.g. structured mobility or joint (summer school) programmes) in one of the strategic themes of Utrecht University. The maximum grant will be €7.500

Visiting Fellowships
Utrecht University will co-fund visiting fellowships in academic year 2012-2013 to strengthen the ties between Utrecht University and its strategic international partners (UUPs). The purpose of these Visiting Fellowships is to initiate new collaborations in education between UU and its UUPs and to explore and set up (external funded) cooperation projects in education and/or research in the fields of ‘Life Sciences’, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Institutions’ or ‘Youth and Identity’. The maximum grant will be €5.000.
