Doctoral Fellowship in Developmental Biology and Speciation Genetics

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic students to join Dr. Zhao’s group as a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong to participate in newly funded projects, which focuses on the study of cell fate differentiation during animal embryogenesis as well as molecular mechanism of animal hybrid incompatibility. The candidate should have strong background in genetics, genomics and molecular biology or biochemistry, preferred with some experience in bioinformatics. Those who are to graduate with a bachelor of science in the relevant disciplines in the coming year and demonstrate high potential in research are also encouraged to apply. He or she is expected to work in an interdisciplinary environment. A monthly stipend of 20,000 HKD (approximately 2,700 USD) will be provided for up to three years plus 10,000 HKD for conference per year.
